This 5-day safari takes you on a breathtaking journey through Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, famous for its shimmering lakes, pink flamingos, and spectacular landscapes. Discover the birdwatcher’s paradise at Lake Nakuru National Park, home to flamingos, rhinos, and leopards — and relax at Lake Naivasha, known for its serene waters and boat safaris among hippos.

Approx. driving time: 3–4 hours
Depart from Nairobi after breakfast and drive down the Great Rift Valley, with a short stop at the viewpoint for breathtaking scenery and photos.
Arrive in Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. Later, embark on an afternoon game drive in this compact but wildlife-rich park. Spot white and black rhinos, lions, leopards, giraffes, and hundreds of flamingos along the shores of the alkaline lake.

Enjoy a full day exploring Nakuru. Visit viewpoints such as Baboon Cliff and Lion Hill, where you’ll capture stunning panoramic views of the lake and surrounding savannah.
The park also shelters over 400 bird species — making it a paradise for birdwatchers. Look out for pelicans, cormorants, and kingfishers.
Return to your lodge in the evening to relax and enjoy dinner overlooking the lake.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake located at the highest point of the Rift Valley. Arrive at your lakeside lodge in time for lunch and an afternoon of leisure.
In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you’ll glide among hippos, pelicans, and fish eagles. You may also visit Crescent Island, a private sanctuary where you can walk among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.

After breakfast, take a short drive to Hell’s Gate National Park, one of Kenya’s most unique parks where visitors can walk or cycle among wildlife.
Explore dramatic cliffs, geothermal steam vents, and gorges featured in the Disney movie The Lion King. Optional activities include rock climbing or a spa visit at Olkaria Geothermal Hot Spa.
Return to your lodge in the evening to relax and enjoy the lakeside sunset.
